Facts about marigold


Marigold is a very old herbal remedy and has a long history of use in medicine and cosmetics where it has been used as a haemostatic, healing for sores and as a disinfectant. The fresh leaves were used directly on open sores to avoid infections. As cream or ointment it has been and still is used in many places for skin problems such as acne, eczema, sores, dry skin and to avoid irritation and infections. Marigold occurs naturally in certain places in Denmark.
