Description: Special for this kind of pumpkin is that it produces deep dark green seeds without any shell. Originally it was, and still is, grown for the production of the valuable pumpkin seed oil from the same area.

Keeping quality: When stored correctly – dark and dry – minimum 2 years from harvest. When stored at temperatures below 10°C they can last for several years. The natural content of vitamin E helps to protect the seed oil from going rancid.

Use: Knowledge about the health value of pumpkin seeds has resulted in great interest in integrating them in the daily diet and not least as dietary supplement and health product.

Recipe for healthy and nourishing “pesto”: The pumpkin seeds are ground as finely as possible, for example in a parsley mincer. Mix it with pumpkin seed oil until it forms a thin mass. Fresh basil can be added depending on taste. Is used as pesto.

Snack: Slightly roasted with a little salt or just as they are, pumpkin seeds are a healthy and nourishing titbit.
